L'Agassant is the nickname of a historic figure of Bordeaux, Mr. Richier
Politician, lawyer, agronomist, he always had a shot in advance. When he left this world a century and a half ago, Bordeaux was THE undisputed world reference for quality wines. If he came back today, he would be amazed by the evolution of Bordeaux wines and the clichés that are linked to it, and would be keen to change opinions, with his natural impertinence.
